Many of you have seen the newly painted "blue and Yellow" bird parked at Male' international airport. Is it beautiful?? ofcourse. Does it make you happy?? YES!! So when are you going to fly it? Errr... "I donno!!??...?"
Thats the answer most of the floatplane pilots who have broken their backs for years and helped TMA come up with the money for the ATR. But if you ask one of he IAS pilots they will answer without hesitation.."in 3 months time!" Thats the resignation notice they have to give IAS if they dont want to pay for their ATPL's or their ratings.
How do IAS pilots get the jobs you ask?? Simple. Its has all been planned long before.
1. Fire Mansoor from IAS.
2. Hire Mansoor at TMA.
3. Mansoor calls his buddies back to TMA offerring them peanuts and coconut shells as pay.
Peanuts and coconut shells?? Yes Fathey. Yes Muja!! Thats what they are going to pay you compared to market rates. You will be paid less than a starting junior captain at TMA. exactly 14.77% less!!.."
"They will increase our pay after sometime..." Keep DREAMING!!! you think IAS is bad about bonding and stuff?? Bram Steller will make you sign even for your weekly haircuts... let alone your bond for your ratings.
Back to you floatplane "suckers".. To generate the money needed to fly the 1st ATR in the Maldives you will have to crack your backs for another 2 years. DAMN!!! and they are bringing 2 more ATRs before end of the year!! HAHAHA!! SUCKERS!!! If you think you are worth something lets all unite? What to do you ask?? Kee Kuranee Dho?? Keep posting to this blog!! I heard even DCA people read this. Tell them about how you operate the Twin Otter. Tell them about today, when it rained non - stop in the evening just before dark!

yes they can give 3 months notice or pay for their ratings. i feel sorry for those guys cos they have no idea what they are getin into.

those guys have ruined it for all you floatplane pilots expectin to get something good after all these years of loyal work! now even if you do make it on the ATR you wont even make 60% of what you make now. So sad!
why doesn't these IAS guys talk to the floatplane pilots? then they canfind out what they are getting paid? why dont they even search the internet for ATR salaries? im sure they will have some idea. I think right now these pilots have the upper hand.. NOT TMA!!

i'm wondering why the twin otter pilots r soo jealous about fathey n muja.. don't they know that 5000 hours on the otter is almost equivalent to 2000 or even less hours on the dornier or dash 8?? how dumb! go learn a lil more about aviation! the "otters" think that just because they can fly low n make tight high-bank turs, they r the best pilots! people like farhath n thoriq from mat will soon know what i'm talking about. consult them in a few months to find out what ifr n night flying is all about!! suckers!!

We have nothing against em aight!! it's that they could have spoken to us b4 taking this job, all this is our swet and hard work for the past years doud!! If we didn't work hard there will not be a ATR here today, thats the truth. Remember that. Even Bram forgot that.
Bram white ass is trying to be funny these days. Doesn;t matter he will be gone out this country in no time, but we maldivian's will be here for ever, and it's our responsibility to take care and work hard as we ve been doing. Bram get paid 15,000$ per month what does he care even if he retired today man, he is just a piece of a trash for us.

They have been at IAS for 10+ years .... maybe they need a change.... think TMA pilots need to learn a little respect and be a little more professional
personally i think the post is tryin to deliver the IAs pilots a msg, which i think is saying out loud "don't drop the market rates!!" if they sign up for anythin and evrythin TMA throws at them its only gonna make things worse for them and the TMA pilots. I think TMA pilots will know best what their company managemnt is like.

hey crop pilots, you signed up to fly twin-otters on floats and you are just doing that and TMA is paying you for that. just shut up and fly them till retirement cox there is no other place you could go. TMA is not willing to pay a dozen float plane pilots to do ATPL and Intrument rating plus ATR type rating. Happy Flying.
IAS has increased the pay for its captains and muja and fathey are not leaving the jobs at IAS to work for a lower salary.. get that fact into your thick skulls TMA pilots..

well guys i hate tell u this, but i have flown with ur ex-boss Mansoor and he almost shit his pants one day when we were flyin in weather. Where did his professional IFR experience go to then? It simple.. we do what u guys do WITHOUT any fancy equipment in our cockpits. unlike u we look out our window sometimes when it is clear so we use the limited IFR equipment we have and use our visual references to get us down safely. so pls show some respect. lets not turn this blog into IAS TMA war. lets use it to our advantage.

Subuli is rite, lets not make this an IAS v TMA war, let us all be treating our colleauges & to-be colleauges with respect for what they do. And tma handi, youll see more crossovers from both sides and pls treat Muja & Fathey with respect just like the IAS guys treated Thihaam and the new to-be joining guys. Doing night IFR dosent necessarily mean they are superior to VFR guys, just that they have undergone more training to use these equipment, if that is considered to be superior then so be it! but in the end what matters is that be it VFR or IFR that U have conduced a safe flight. Rite guys? And pls dont blame mansur for shitting in his pants in bad weather, a vfr guy wil be shitting too in clear weather if de dosent know his instrument stuff. But then again mansur is a rare kind not every one wil shit like him.

Thanks for the coffee but we are not as flexible as IAS so here I am overnighting at a resort soon to be fatheys and mujas fate. And I think its too early to talk about fathey and muja as they still got to experience the tma "we care" motto. As far as Thiham goes he does what he says and he has proven it so many times. u just cant compare thiham with fathey and muja as they are in different leagues. I guess u can stop those coffees and start saving to pay up for ur rating!
is this the first time pilots going to fly for another company? we all are free to leave any job for a better one. right now we all pilots have more choices. so its ones decision that determines how he is gonna be like in future. so guys! go n get ur ir renewed and start putting some effort to compete them, instead of wasting time writing nonsense.
same way fathey n muja got more choices when they saw the yellow n blue atr. ottor drivers will have more choices when a new type of float plane arrives male'.
